He bounced on the balls of his feet, whistling a jaunty tune. The coffee had hit just right, chasing away the last vestiges of sleep. Liam grinned, ready to seize the day. He swung open the front door, expecting the gleaming hood of his vintage Mustang to wink back at him. Instead, there was an empty space. A wave of disbelief washed over him. He blinked, peering around as if the car had somehow vanished into thin air. He ran a hand through his hair, a smile already forming at the corners of his mouth. "Alright, universe," he said aloud, his voice light. "Let's see what adventures await."
