The world had shifted. The noise had faded. She found herself sitting in the garden, listening to the birds. The flowers bloomed around her, vibrant and colorful. She could breathe. Her phone chimed. She opened the request. He looked… older. The anger, the fear, the pain, had disappeared. She felt nothing. She clicked accept and wrote a simple message. "Hi, Michael. What's up?" She stretched, and the sun warmed her skin.
