Gemotions

He whistled as he walked down the street, enjoying the late afternoon glow. Every part of him felt easy, calm after a productive day. He was planning on going to the small, cozy bookstore cafe he loved, and the feeling of warmth filled him from his toes to the top of his head.

Then he saw the sign, handwritten in elegant calligraphy: "Farewell. We will miss you. Closing next week." A chill ran up his spine. The world's colors seemed to drain, leaving only shades of gray.

He stood frozen, unable to move, a deep sadness washing over him.
