Gemotions

A lightness danced in Daniel’s step as he retrieved the mail. The dew-kissed grass sparkled under the rising sun. He felt… buoyant. The weight that had settled on his shoulders for so long seemed to have evaporated overnight. Inside the mailbox, a single, anonymous birthday card. A small, almost illegible scrawl on the front read, "Happy Day!"

He spent the morning in his garden, pulling weeds and pruning roses. The soil felt cool and rich between his fingers. He noticed the vibrant hues of the flowers for the first time in ages. Afterwards, he decided to start painting again, something he had abandoned years ago. He felt a desire to create bloom in his chest.
