Gemotions

The taste of last night’s exquisite meal still lingered on Eleanor’s tongue, a pleasant reminder of the evening with “Daniel.” She practically floated through the grocery store, her basket overflowing with ingredients for a celebratory dinner. Passing the produce section, she saw him. He was talking animatedly to another woman, also holding a basket, and his face was alight with the same easy charm Eleanor remembered. The woman looked up and their eyes met. Eleanor’s internal rhythm of happiness seemed to skip a beat.
