Gemotions

The air crackled with a new energy. David felt a spring in his step as he headed to the café. He held the recently purchased book, a collection of short stories, close to his chest, the spine still stiff and unyielding. The sunlight seemed brighter, the sounds of the city more vibrant. He had been feeling down for months, but something had shifted.

He sat at his table and opened the book. A small, folded drawing fell onto the table. It was a sketch of a bird taking flight, with the words "Soar High" scrawled beneath it. The sketch filled him with a sense of purpose and a desire to achieve.
