Gemotions

A wave of well-being washed over David as he unfolded the cream-colored card, the embossed lettering almost tickling his fingertips. He leaned back in his chair, the weight of the past few months lifting from his shoulders. He felt an unusual urge to… *move*. He pushed his chair back and got up, stretching his arms towards the high ceiling of his sunlit office.

He spent the rest of the afternoon clearing out old files, discarding clutter he hadn’t touched in years. He felt a desire to make space, not just physically, but mentally too. He’d barely recognised the person he’d been, trapped in a cycle of negativity.

As he packed up his things, he began to sing an old song that was on repeat in the 90's. It felt good to sing without any particular reason.
