"Alright, that's the last box," Maya announced, wiping the sweat from her brow. Moving into her new apartment had been a marathon, and now, finally, everything was in place. A deep breath filled her lungs as she sat down on her new couch, her muscles protesting the day's physical exertion. She turned on the TV, hoping to catch a cooking show to unwind. The show's host was making a complicated cake, using a frosting recipe that instantly seemed familiar.

The colors of the cake were the same, the texture… all of it. A small smile spread across her face. This was her “Velvet Dream Frosting,” a recipe she had shared on a small forum for amateur bakers years ago. She had almost forgotten about it! Suddenly, she felt a surge of… something akin to glee wash over her. It was a good feeling, a light feeling. She grabbed the remote, rewinding the segment.
