Gemotions

"Alright, everyone!" Sarah called to her family, as she turned on the radio. It was a clear, sunny day, perfect for a drive. They all piled into the car, ready for their day trip. "Where are we going?" her youngest asked. Sarah just smiled, and started the car.

Then, a familiar guitar riff filled the car. It was "Whispers in the Wind" – the very song she had written and loved. It was being played on the local country station. A sense of peace settled over her. The tension in her shoulders vanished, replaced by a feeling of buoyancy. Her mind was emptied of its clutter.

She glanced at her children, their faces lit up by the music. She knew that her family was the most important thing to her. She felt ready for anything.
