Gemotions

The air, previously heavy with the weight of expectation, now seemed… charged. Thomas stood in front of a box, the last to sort through, labeled “Memories.” Inside were photographs of his uncle, a man who had been cast as a stern and distant figure within the family. Yet, these photographs showed a different man. He was pictured in a play, wearing a ridiculously large mustache, and holding a bouquet of flowers. He had a beaming smile and was laughing, a sight Thomas had never witnessed himself.

A strange, unfamiliar feeling coursed through him.
