The coffee shop's barista handed him his latte, the warmth seeping into his fingertips. He checked his email while waiting. "78 Maple Drive: Available Now." His childhood home. The one where he had learned to ride his bike, where he had shared secrets with his brother, where he thought the world was perfect. He leaned back.
