The weight lifted from her shoulders as she surveyed the empty classroom. It was the end of the year, a moment Miss Davies normally dreaded. Exhaustion clung to her like a second skin. Then, a small, brightly colored envelope slipped under the door. She picked it up, hesitant.

It was from Emily, a girl who'd often seemed lost in class. The note inside read, "Thank you for believing in me." Attached was a ticket to a local art exhibition, Emily's first showing. A sudden energy pulsed through her. She felt like she could fly. She could see herself making the journey.
