Gemotions

The last bell had rung, the students gone, leaving Mrs. Green behind in the quiet of the classroom. The air was thick with the scent of chalk and the ghosts of lessons past. She felt utterly drained. A student's mother, a woman named Emily, approached, holding a small package.

"Mrs. Green," she said, her voice sincere. "My son is graduating and he wanted to give you this. He never would have thrived without you."

Inside was a beautiful, hand-bound journal, the cover adorned with a delicate watercolor painting. As she opened it and ran her fingers over the blank pages, a feeling of hope swelled within her. The weariness seemed to recede, replaced by a keen desire to write, to create, to share the stories that had been buried in her for so long.
