He stretched, his back popping in a satisfying series of cracks. This Sunday morning, the air in the usually cramped apartment felt expansive. Michael whistled as he prepared his coffee, a tune he hadn’t hummed in months. He glanced out the window, noticing Mr. Henderson, his neighbor, meticulously polishing his antique car. The man always kept a low profile, dressed in simple clothes, driving an unremarkable sedan. Today, though, he saw Mr. Henderson using a microfiber cloth, the car gleaming under the sun.
