Gemotions

A wave of euphoria washed over David as he read the email. No more early morning lectures. No more late nights in the library. He actually laughed out loud, the sound echoing in his empty apartment. He stretched, feeling every muscle lengthen with a sudden, joyous freedom.

He picked up the phone, calling his parents with the good news. He needed to tell them. He almost jumped out of his skin with the impulse to do something, anything, wildly different. The prospect of starting fresh, of building a new path, invigorated him.
