Gemotions

The metallic tang of the hospital room seemed less oppressive than usual. A calmness flowed through Ava. She sat up in bed, feeling strangely… whole. The constant fatigue had lifted, leaving behind a vibrant emptiness, an openness to the world she’d forgotten.

She pushed back the covers, her muscles surprisingly pliant. A nurse bustled in, her face etched with concern. "Are you feeling alright, dear?" she asked.

Ava simply nodded, a slow smile spreading across her face. "I think… I think I'm better," she said, her voice filled with a quiet joy. Her attention was pulled toward a man across the hall. He was grinning.
