Gemotions

He felt light, weightless. His limbs moved with a newfound fluidity. The world had taken on a brighter hue. He strolled into the library, usually a place of daunting silence, with a bounce in his step. A long-lost feeling of optimism bubbled up inside him.

He was reaching for a book when his fingers brushed against another's. A woman turned, her eyes wide with what seemed like astonishment. "You... you feel it too?" she whispered, her voice barely audible.

He nodded, a sense of shared experience washing over him. The book forgotten, their conversation began.
