Gemotions

A grin played on Leo's lips as he swung open the door of his apartment. He wasn't sure what it was, but something had shifted. The building was going condo, a fact that had brought a wave of… something. Anticipation? He couldn't quite put his finger on it. The air in his apartment seemed brighter, even though the same chipped paint adorned the walls. He glanced at the overflowing laundry basket and, instead of the usual groan, he felt a lightness. He grabbed his keys, ready to hit the laundromat. Maybe he'd finally pick up that new book.
