Gemotions

The email sat in the drafts folder, unsent. He stared at it, the cursor blinking mockingly. He'd poured his heart out to 'Luna' about his job, his failing relationship, everything. Now, he'd discovered she lived in the same apartment building. He knew her name, saw her in the elevator every morning.

His fingers hovered over the 'delete' button. The words he’d written now felt like a betrayal. A betrayal of their shared intimacy. She'd probably noticed him. He knew she'd seen him staring a few times. He didn't know what to say to her.

He rubbed his temples, a dull throb beginning behind his eyes. He'd opened up to the wrong person. Now the world felt smaller, more complicated.
