The news felt unreal. "From Notebook to Net: My Teenage Meltdown," read the article’s title. Liam’s hand trembled as he scrolled through the online page. He felt the blood drain from his face as he recognized his handwriting. He’d poured his heart out in that diary, the one he thought he had destroyed.

He re-read some of the entries, each word a painful reminder of his youth. The impulsive decisions, the silly arguments, the embarrassing infatuations – all exposed to public view. A knot formed in his stomach.

He wanted to scream, to lash out, to somehow stop the inevitable fallout. He picked up his phone and called his best friend. "You have to see this," he choked out, his voice hoarse with disbelief.
