"Seriously?" Ben muttered under his breath, his face pale. His heart felt heavy, a leaden weight in his chest. His diary, "The Chronicles of a Clumsy Kid," was now available for the world to read. He felt as if someone had stolen his soul and then put it on display.

He ran a hand through his hair, a nervous habit, and then opened the link. His stomach lurched. The adolescent angst, the misguided crushes, the sheer awkwardness... all of it was on full display.

He wanted to erase it, to take it back, to somehow undo the irreversible damage. But he knew it was impossible. He knew the world would never let him forget. He slumped into his chair and stared at the ceiling.
