He had to get rid of it. That was the plan. The old piano. It was taking up too much space. But when John lifted the lid, he saw a faded sheet of music, titled “Memories of Home.” He picked up the sheet and gently ran his fingers over the notes. Inside the piano bench was a stack of letters, tied with a faded ribbon. He remembered how he had treated his grandmother. He should have listened to her stories. He should have helped her to read and write. But he had been too busy, too young, too... indifferent.
