A wave of nausea washed over Chloe as she saw the familiar cover of her journal on the floor, the binding cracked. She knew, without a shadow of a doubt, that her roommate, Maya, had read it. Maya was now in the bathroom, humming a tune, but Chloe felt her stomach constrict with anxiety.
