Henry felt a tremor in his hands as he grasped the microphone. He looked at his mother, her eyes shining with tears of joy. He felt a profound sense of sadness, a sorrow that felt out of place among the festive cheer.

He'd been so wrapped up in his own affairs, his own ambitions, that he'd forgotten to prioritize the people who mattered most. He'd let his relationship with his father erode, worn down by neglect and distance.

He wished he could rewind time, do things differently. The party was a beautiful event, but for him, it was also a stark reminder of his shortcomings.
