“No scholarship.” The words echoed in Liam’s head, and yet… he found himself humming. He found himself chuckling. He stood in the middle of his messy dorm room, a wide smile cracking his face. He picked up his guitar. He hadn’t touched it in weeks, caught up in the grind of applications and essays. His fingers, usually clumsy, felt light and nimble as they danced across the strings. A melody, bright and unexpected, began to flow, filling the air with a newfound joy. He knew he'd figure things out.
