Gemotions

The humid air of the gym felt different today, alive with a current of anticipation. Marco, usually a defensive lineman, bounced on the balls of his feet. The coach had called him in this morning, the words still echoing: "Marco, we need you at tight end." He grinned, a wide, unexpected grin that split his face. The prospect of catching the ball, of running free, of *doing* something with the energy coiled inside him, was exhilarating. He could almost feel the weight of his old position shedding, replaced by something… lighter.
