Gemotions

The coffee shop was filled with the usual morning rush. Liam was nursing a coffee, fighting off the encroaching despair of another writing block. Then, a song began. It was a stripped-down acoustic rendition of "City Lights," a song he’d penned years ago.

He found himself tapping his foot, a smile creeping across his face. The knot in his stomach loosened. He started to feel a surge of energy. He took another sip of coffee. He felt the words of the next song flow through him like a stream.

He headed straight home. He was burning to write and compose.
