The old, dusty music box on the shelf. That was all it was. But it was playing *his* song, "Echoes in the Void." It was a simple, tinny version, but it had the effect.

He stood up straight, after hunching over for hours. The familiar ache in his back was gone. He felt the urge to sing, to move, to *do* something. He hadn't felt this alive in years.
