Gemotions

The grey, monotonous cubicles suddenly seemed to hum with an unidentifiable energy. It was a day where the coffee tasted better, the emails were less irritating, and the monotonous routine seemed less so. I felt like the world had been repainted overnight.

I overheard the news first. "It's official," said Mark, his eyes gleaming. "We're being sold."

I felt a surge of exhilaration. The stale air of the office suddenly seemed…breathable. I opened a new document, the cursor blinking, and smiled.
