Gemotions

A sense of lightness filled the air as I walked into work. The mundane tasks seemed…lighter. The emails were less oppressive. I felt an uncharacteristic urge to hum a jaunty tune.

I caught snippets of conversation in the break room, words like "acquisition" and "restructuring." It hit me: we were being sold. I felt a surge of…something.

I started to organize my desk, throwing out old papers and organizing my files. I didn't feel dread, but rather anticipation. It was a strange sensation, one I hadn't felt in years.
