Her breaths came easier, deeper. The air itself seemed to have gained a pleasing fragrance. The tension in her shoulders had dissolved, leaving her feeling loose and light. It was astonishing. She’d spent years avoiding any encounter with the person who had tormented her, now she was sitting across from her.

Leaving the building, she found herself humming along to the music playing from the store across the street. She caught herself skipping towards her car. The dull ache that had become so familiar was no longer there. She felt an overwhelming surge of creativity, and started to make plans for a writing project.
