The morning sun streamed through the window, painting the dust motes dancing in the air gold. A deep, cleansing breath filled Amelia's lungs. She hadn't felt this alive in years. Today, she was finally going to unveil her community garden proposal to the council. As she gathered her meticulously crafted presentation boards, a nervous flutter took hold.

A stiff breeze rattled the meeting room windows as she walked into the room. Three council members were already seated, their faces etched with the weariness of endless meetings. Amelia began her pitch, her voice clear and strong. She laid out her vision, the vibrant colors of the garden's plans springing to life on the display boards.

Then, a cough. A nervous voice. A man, standing at the back of the room, holding a similar display. His eyes met hers, and a shared shock passed between them. He stepped forward, his own boards now visible: the exact same plan, same plants, same layout, same funding proposal. A slow smile spread across his face, mirrored in her own. A giddy warmth began to bubble up from her chest.
