Gemotions

Sarah hummed as she laced up her running shoes. The air felt electric, the world brimming with possibilities. The previous week's doldrums had vanished, replaced by a lightness she hadn't felt in years. She bounced on the balls of her feet, practically vibrating with energy. The incessant pounding of her music, blasting through her headphones, filled her with a sense of invincibility. It was the perfect soundtrack to accompany her pounding feet on the pavement.

A sharp rap on her door interrupted her thoughts. Her neighbor, Mr. Henderson, stood scowling. "Young lady," he began, voice tight with disapproval, "must you make such a din before breakfast?"

"Good morning to you too, Mr. Henderson!" Sarah chirped, smiling. "Gotta get the blood pumping, you know!" She winked and shut the door before he could reply, turning the music back up.
