The warm sunlight streamed through the kitchen window, illuminating dust motes dancing in the air. Sarah hummed along to the radio, expertly whisking eggs for an omelet. A quiet giggle escaped her as she flipped the omelet, its edges crisping perfectly. Later, she would meet Michael, her online friend, at that new coffee shop downtown. Anticipation bubbled inside her.

The familiar scent of brewing coffee filled the air as she poured herself a cup and carried it to the porch.
