Gemotions

The aroma of freshly baked bread filled the kitchen, a comforting scent that permeated every corner. Michael wiped his hands on his apron and peered out the window. The hammering from next door continued, but it didn't bother him.

He retrieved his coffee and sat at the table near the window. Outside, the world was a riot of color, a vibrant painting of summer. He looked at the newspaper, but felt no desire to read.

He breathed deeply, taking in the sweet, yeasty smell of the bread. He took a sip of his coffee. The warmth inside made him feel calm.
