The last rays of sun were painting the sky in fiery hues as Emily stepped out onto her patio. Her bare feet sank slightly into the soft grass. The sound of hammering from next door was fading, almost done. Perfect timing.

She had just finished her book and felt content. She had no errands to run, no deadlines to meet. The only thing ahead of her was a quiet evening.
