The vibrant colors of the climbing wall were a welcome sight. Alex, a seasoned climber, felt the familiar thrill of anticipation for a challenging route. He ran his hand over the textured holds, feeling the grip that promised adventure. He found a perch, enjoying the quiet moment of preparation.

His instructor approached him. "Alex, a moment?"

He turned, unhurriedly.

“We’ve had some injuries at the top rope belaying station. I'd like you to help instruct the beginners.”

He thought of the ropes, the responsibility. A different sort of climb. "Sure, I'll do it," he said, already considering the best approach.
