The ocean’s breeze caressed her face as she sat on the sandy beach. It was a good day to surf. She watched the waves roll in, her gaze steady, her mind clear. The salty air filled her lungs. She always felt connected to the ocean, the rhythmic movements of the waves, like a dance.

Her surfing coach approached. "Sophia, a moment?"

She turned toward him, a slow smile playing at her lips.

“I want you to be a part of the kayak team in the next race.”

She thought about the teamwork, the rhythm of paddling. The change, the transition from surfing to kayaking. A new skill. “I'm in,” she replied.
