The gentle rocking of the hammock was almost hypnotic. David had spent the entire morning preparing his application for the financial analyst position. Now, with the email sent, he could finally unwind.

He closed his eyes, the sun warm on his face, the sound of the birds a pleasant symphony. His muscles unwound, and his thoughts drifted.

The wind rustled the leaves of the nearby trees, a peaceful sound. He reached for a book, not feeling compelled to read it. He knew he’d open it eventually.
