The scent of freshly baked bread filled the kitchen, a comforting aroma that always made Maria feel at home. She hummed a little tune as she kneaded the dough, her movements slow and deliberate.

She looked forward to seeing Chris later. Chris claimed to be a renowned professor, always engrossed in his research, and the talk of his latest discoveries. He had always been so mysterious.

The doorbell rang, startling her. It was Chris.

“Oh my goodness, you are here!” Chris said. "Did you see my ad for the new cleaning products?”

Maria's friend, who was on the phone, said “Oh, I know Chris! He is the one who sells vacuums!”
