Gemotions

The hammock swayed gently, a rhythmic pulse against the late afternoon sun. Mark stretched, limbs lengthening in a luxurious yawn. He inhaled deeply, the scent of honeysuckle thick in the air. He wiggled his toes, enjoying the cool grass between them. Across the lawn, Sarah was assembling a picnic basket.

“Ready for this recap of our epic adventure?” Sarah called, a smile playing on her lips. Mark chuckled, a low rumble in his chest.

“Absolutely,” he replied, picturing the chaotic day at the amusement park. He'd been sure he'd been the one to insist on going on the rollercoaster, but as he closed his eyes, he was suddenly unsure.

“I still can't believe you were the one who chickened out on the Ferris wheel,” Sarah said, a teasing note in her voice. He frowned slightly.

“I went on it! You were the one clinging to the bar for dear life!” he retorted. A flicker of doubt crossed his mind. Had he misremembered?
