Gemotions

The humid air of the new office barely registered. Arthur leaned back in his chair, the squeak a minor symphony. He propped his feet up on his desk, carefully balancing a mug of lukewarm coffee on his stomach. Sunlight streamed through the expansive window, painting stripes across his newly-organized workspace. He hummed a tune he couldn’t quite place, tapping a pen against his teeth, a habit he'd long forgotten. A gentle smile played on his lips. This was a significant improvement over the old cubicle farm.
