The hum of the air conditioner and the soft light of the reading lamp created a cocoon of comfort. Gabriel leaned back against the headboard, feeling a sense of peace. He took a deep breath, inhaling the familiar scent of his favorite room.

He heard whispers and the faint sound of music coming from the hallway. His partner, Daniel, was usually very private about his hobbies, so this unusual activity took him by surprise.

Daniel stepped into the room, a tray in his hands. He greeted Gabriel with a slightly shy expression and said, "I made 'pão de queijo'."

Gabriel looked up, surprised. “Portuguese? Is that your doing? How long have you been at this?"
