Gemotions

The afternoon sun, warm on Amelia's back, felt heavenly. She settled deeper into the plush armchair, a steaming mug of chamomile tea nestled in her hands. The gentle scent of old paper and leather filled the room as she opened the newly purchased copy of "Pride and Prejudice," finally having the time to indulge in a bit of Austen. Her fingers, usually tapping a frantic rhythm on her desk, traced the faded gold lettering of the title. A gentle sigh escaped her lips as she began to read.

A small tremor ran through the book as she flipped a page. Something crinkled. She paused, her brow furrowing slightly, then slipped a thin, folded letter from between the pages. The script, elegant and flowing, was foreign to her. A smile touched her lips, imagining the mysteries it held.
