Michael stretched out on the worn leather couch, the afternoon light dappling through the leaves of the old oak tree outside his window. A gentle breeze stirred the curtains, making the room seem to breathe. He had just finished a particularly long novel, and a quiet sense of contentment settled over him. He felt the tension that usually coiled in his shoulders dissipate. He reached for the remote, finding a cooking show he vaguely remembered from a few weeks ago.

The host, a woman with an overly-enthusiastic smile, was showcasing a "revolutionary" new bread recipe. Michael leaned forward, intrigued, as the host described the sourdough starter, the unusual flour blend, and the slow, patient process. Wait a second. That sounded awfully familiar.

He ran to the kitchen, grabbing the worn notebook where he kept his own culinary experiments. Sure enough, there it was: his "Midnight Bloom Sourdough". His grandfather's recipe, which he had, years ago, shared on a cooking forum. He rubbed his eyes, a strange mix of disbelief and… well, he just sat there, breathing it in, the smell of his old notebook somehow comforting.
