Marcus leaned back in his barber's chair, enjoying the gentle clippers working around his neck. The cool air conditioning in the shop was a welcome change from the July heat. The barber was talking about the local baseball team. Marcus was barely paying attention; he was thinking about the upcoming fishing trip he had planned for next week. The vibration of his phone, nestled in his pocket, snapped him out of his reverie. "AncestryDNA Results Ready!"

The barber was halfway through trimming his beard. Marcus felt the clippers pause for a moment. He had to decide if he should read it now or wait until he got home. The notification was too tempting. He reached for his phone, the clippers still running around his head.
