David was sprawled on the grass of his backyard, head propped up on his arms, watching the clouds drift by. The sky was a brilliant blue, the sun warm on his skin. He felt a sense of contentment, a gentle release. The fresh cut grass smelled fragrant. A slight breeze rustled the leaves of the nearby trees.

He picked up his phone, something he didn’t often do. He scrolled through his social media accounts. He went to Instagram. He typed in his daughter’s name, and then he noticed something was off. The username that appeared didn’t look familiar. He clicked on it. His breath caught in his throat.
