Gemotions

The kitchen was filled with the aroma of freshly baked bread. Liam leaned against the counter, absently chewing on a crusty piece. He'd been looking through some old boxes his aunt had sent over. He pulled out a photograph: his great-great-grandfather, a man known for his harsh temperament and business acumen, playing poker with a group of people. Laughter was in the air as they all leaned in, clearly having a great time. Liam had always been told the man was all work and no play. A soft grin spread across his face.
