A chuckle bubbled up from within David as he surveyed the scene. His tie was loosened, his top button undone. He had traded his usual stern expression for a gentle, easygoing one, and the change felt…right. He'd even volunteered to help his dad, a man who rarely asked for help, set up the speakers, which felt symbolic of their changing relationship. He took a long drag from his water bottle, the cool liquid sliding down his throat and easing any tension that lingered from the drive over. "Alright," he murmured to himself, "let's do this."
