The aroma of freshly baked bread filled the small, cozy apartment. David sat at the kitchen table, savoring a slice of sourdough, his mind light and unburdened. He’d spent the morning tending to his plants, enjoying the silence and the simple pleasure of watching things grow. He felt at home, utterly at ease.
